Revolt is possibly gonna be the new alternative to Discord. The app needs some work at the moment, but I can see it happening in the future.

On top of the awful updates, they have decided to start going public on-top of bringing in a new CEO... from Activision. Skype went public, and that's when it basically went to shit.
