In my moments of translucency, I made the mistake of anticipating someone else to notice, but the only thing that seemed to change was my own vision, and it felt as if others were merely waiting for me as well, it was even as if they were where I was at; heaven, hell, purgatory, satori. The moments I felt fear is when I would "drag myself back down", so to speak, and that is also okay; fear is a natural response when dealing with the unknown. It is like the monkey eventually noticing that the "other" they see in the mirror is merely their own "self" reflected back at them, and there never was anything to truly fear.

I don't entirely understand what you are saying. But what I do know is that self discovery is a journey that is filled with making mistakes, and frequent changes in direction, as a natural part of it. If you aren't making mistakes, then you aren't really exploring.
It is as in Jazz; there are no wrong notes, it's all about what note you play after that wrong note.

This wisdom is not mine (though no wisdom is truly my own), but I present a fun story:
Once upon a time there was a cosmic being who had everything they ever wanted at the press of a button. It was fun... for a time, but then once the being knew what to expect from pressing these buttons, the game was no longer fun to play; that was until they opened the mechanism to discover a single button inside labeled "surprise!" That is when creation began, from the destruction of a singular organism; and now this singular organism is finding all the puzzle pieces to put the whole thing back together. It cannot help, but to do so; it's too fun not to. After all, "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back."
